Origin of Côte-Rôtie La Germine : The name "La Germine" comes from an old place name located in the town of Tupin.
Soil : cuvée produced on the terraces and slopes of the southern slopes of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, composed of Gneiss.
Grape-varieties : 97% syrah (red grape variety) and 3% viognier (white grape variety).
Vinification : manual harvest. destemmed at 80%, maceration for 3 weeks in thermo-regulated vats

Ageing : 18 months in barrels and demi-muids including 20% new barrels.
Food and wine pairings : Venison with grand veneur sauce, barbecued rib of beef, leg of lamb, truffle dishes. In general, it will go perfectly with game, red meats and dishes in sauce.
Comment : This cuvee is the worthy representative of the appellation. It is a complete wine, both balanced and racy.
